About AnglicanWiki

AnglicanWiki is a collaborative online resource dedicated to the history, theology, liturgy, and people of the Anglican tradition.

Our aim is to provide accurate, faithful, and accessible articles that help clergy, laity, scholars, and seekers understand Anglicanism in all its richness.

Purpose

  • To serve as a **reference tool** for the Anglican tradition worldwide.
  • To provide reliable articles about **history, doctrine, liturgy, saints, and parishes**.
  • To connect Anglicans across jurisdictions by highlighting our **shared faith and practice**.

Editorial Perspective

AnglicanWiki affirms the historic Christian faith as received in the Anglican tradition:

  • Grounded in **Holy Scripture**.
  • Interpreted through the **ecumenical creeds** and the **ancient councils**.
  • Shaped by the **Anglican formularies** (the Book of Common Prayer, the Ordinal, the Thirty-Nine Articles).

We recognize the legitimacy of:

  • The **Anglican Church in North America (ACNA)**
  • The **Reformed Episcopal Church (REC)**
  • Faithful churches in the **Continuing Anglican movement**
  • The **GAFCON movement** as a global expression of orthodox Anglicanism
  • Provinces of the **Anglican Communion** that maintain fidelity to Scripture and the historic Anglican faith

We do not promote:

  • Revisionist theology (e.g., same-sex marriage, aberrant views of Human sexuality, denial of biblical authority).
  • Practices that depart from historic Anglican consensus.

Contributing

AnglicanWiki is built by volunteers. You can help by:

  • Writing new articles and improving existing ones.
  • Adding citations and historical sources.
  • Uploading images, documents, and liturgical texts.
  • Discussing changes on article talk pages.

See our AnglicanWiki:Editorial Policy and AnglicanWiki:Style Guide for guidance.
