A chimere (/ˈtʃɪmər/ CHIM-ər or /tʃɪˈmɪər/ chim-EER) is a vestment primarily worn by Anglican bishops in choir dress, and, formally as part of academic dress. A chimere is usually made of black or red cloth, and is sleeveless.
