Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, popularly known as Mar Thoma Church (meaning Saint Thonas Church) is Syriac rite Protestant church that is in full communion with the Anglican Communion. It is unique for having Protestant theology while having the West Syriac Rite, albeit a little reformed.
The Mar Thoma Church has its origins in the Oriental Orthodox churches of India.
